The Foundation supported Guion Creek Elementary students by creating The Nature Station a unique, hands-on learning environment for students to study native-Indiana birds. Additionally, L.I.F.T. volunteers worked with students to implement the NWEA Goal Challenge — which focuses on helping students to set and reach their academic goals — allowing them to take ownership in their education.

“The L.I.F.T. Foundation has been a tremendous resource for our 4th grade students. The hands-on teaching we had from Mrs. Kozlowski about the various birds in Indiana was priceless. Not only did the students have activities to do in the classroom, but they were able to feed and observe the birds in their own habitats thanks to the foundation’s generosity of donating bird feeders and seeds. Everyone at our school, including myself, are better because of Mrs. Kozlowski’s willingness to donate her precious time to us.”
