Students studying current environmental crisis’ of pollution, urban sprawl, and energy deficits in Los Angeles participated in a hands-on investigative unit that focused on pollution and waste disposal methods on campus and at home. Their findings were then connected to climate change and global warming, with students challenged to explore alternative energy solutions and a design their own Ecotopian City. Watering testing and air pollution testing kits, as well as wind experiment kits and solar car kits were purchased.
