Aileen Gendrano Adao is a proud filipina-american educator from Los Angeles. She’s been teaching English and theatre for more than ten years, primarily serving the Boyle Heights and South Los Angeles communities. She received National Board Certification in 2012 in English Language Arts, and she recently completed UCLA’s Principal’s Leadership Institute and Breathe for Change’s Yoga and Socio-Emotional Wellness Program. Currently, she teaches English and supports the Restorative Justice implementation at the Math, Science, and Technology Magnet Academy at Roosevelt High School as the Restorative Justice Lead Teacher. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing with her toddlers and doing yoga.
